So... it's been quite a while since I've been here (like almost 7 years). I've been thinking about my DeviantArt account lately and it's wild to see just how far I've come. If you didn't know, my name is DJ and I am a professional comic book colorist now. I've worked with almost every major publisher, in some capacity, at this point. Work has, for the most part, been steady enough for me to consider this my full-time gig and it baffles me every time I get to say that this is my life now. I absolutely love my job and can't imagine doing much else outside of this. I can only imagine how the past version of me would react to how I'm doing now. I weirdly never doubted that I could do this but I never would've guessed it would be at this capacity. And looking back at this time capsule (my account) I can kind of make out the building blocks that put me where I am now, even though I couldn't have guessed I'd be this far, this quickly. I could just end this by saying 'never stop following

Okay, now that I really have decided that this is no longer just a hobby of mine and that I want to make a career out of art... I'm gonna start posting more cuz I need to get critique from my fellow deviants and friends so I can get better at my craft and be the best illustrator/graphic designer I can be.

So, this account has been on deviantART for one full year. Whoop-de-doo... I also wanted to say that I have been accepted to the Savannah College of Art and Design and i start in the fall. And i hope to start posting more stuff on deviantART cuz I've been really lazy about it and I finally got my scanner to work. So...yeah...
